Book Description

When Colonel Fitzwilliam’s disclosures are interrupted by the bearer of distressing news from Longbourn, Miss Elizabeth Bennet is compelled to consider an offer she would have otherwise dismissed out of hand. An offer of marriage from the all-too-proud Mr Darcy.

Yet how is she to live with a husband she hardly knows and does not love? Would she be trapped in a marriage of convenience while events conspire to divide them? Or would love grow as, day by day and hour after hour, she learns to understand the man she married, before she loses his trust and his heart?

  1. I love the premise of this story, it’s always fascinating to watch ODC struggle to learn about each over in marriage. Knowing Joana, it will have plenty of angst.
Congratulation Joana on the book release. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Mary, SO glad you like the cover!!! Hmmmm, I hope I’m not giving away too much if I say that,, as far as Darcy is concerned, it’s not a marriage of convenience. He’s head over heels in love. Whether that makes him any less proud and Elizabeth any less prejudiced it’s another matter 😉
Hope you’ll like it and best of luck in the giveaway!

  3. Huge thanks, Mira, for joining the lovely people who hosted the cover reveal today!!!!! Mira, Ceri, Anna, Rita, Janet, Maria Grazia, Margie, Tamara, Candy and especially Claudine, you’re ever so kind and I’m absolutely speechless!!!! Sadly for my family, the speechlessness won’t last for as long as they’d wish, but it’s a blessing while it does 😉

    THANK YOU!!!!!

  4. Loving all the love that’s coming your way, Joana. I’m really looking forward to this one, especially as it’s a scenario you’ve not written before. Darcy may be head over heels but he’s not had the chance to prove himself able “to please a woman worthy of being pleased.” I assume there hasn’t been the letter at Hunsford and he didn’t get Elizabeth’s rather vitriolic refusal of his proposal. Oooo, can’t wait!

    1. The love is amazing, Anji!!! I’m absolutely overwhelmed!!! So many wonderful people, and so kind!!! It’s… Wow! Speechless.

No, I haven’t gone into this kind of scenario before, but I guess it was only a matter of time. FMS is like a rite of passage and so tempting to write! There’s such potential for misunderstandings and sizzling tension.

Too true, without the vitriolic refusal he hasn’t had the chance to see the error of his ways and without the letter, neither had she, so there’s still pride to soften and prejudices to overcome, on both sides. But hey, love conquers all 🙂 (or at least it does in JAFF, and that’s one of the reason we love it so much, I think). I hope you’ll like the story when you get to read it. Thanks for all the lovely messages and the support, you’re ever so kind!!

  5. Míra, Míra, ConGA! Míra, Míra, ConGA! I just came from Candy’s place, and wow, what a line! Tamara, Maria, Anna, Claudine, Rita, Ceri, and Janet are all there behind me… Janet’s been in line the longest, and she’s not pooped out yet. A couple of them are trying to read Joana’s new book while they Conga, and wow, they are good at it! Readers learn quickly, right? Of course, Joana’s new book is a great enticement, as she has that little extra angst to offer that can be neglected in some books, and readers like you and I eat it up like Halloween candy! YUMMMM. Are you ready? Snag Joana, and lets get this party back on the road, dancing away! New cover, new book, lots to dance about! Partaaayyy!!!
