Top 11 of 2017

Happy New Year to each and every of you! Hope you had a lovely holiday!

I’m a bit behind, haven’t had time to write posts, reviews for a while, but I’m back now, so I decided to start it with a list which was due in November/December. Better later than never, I suppose. Anyway, without further ado…

First of all, I picked 11 books as I couldn’t part with any of them. Not putting one of them on the list just to say “top 10” would be like cutting off my arm. 🙂 The books I chose from 2017 have a few common things: they are all original, witty, dramatic, well-written with fantastic character descriptions and you will see that I stepped out of my JAFF comfort zone. I’ve just realized now, that I haven’t posted a review of “On Equal Ground” and “Evan and Darcy” which is a shame as both are at the top of my list. I believe all of them were released last year except “Evan and Darcy” which is from 2016. This 11 books made it from the 41 JAFF which I read last year.

The list is in a random order, I can’t rank them.

  1. Amazing list! I’ve read most of them and really really enjoyed them. I have two on my TBR list and look forward to them. I haven’t read the gender swap book or the one about Caroline, I may do at some point but I really like my Darcy to be male and I like my books to be about him and Elizabeth.

  2. Happy New Year to you, too, Mira!

I’ve only read two of your eleven (President Darcy and Darcy’s Hope at Donwell Abbey), five more are on my TBR list and the remainder will be going on my Wish List. Gender swap stories are a sub-genre I’ve not ventured into yet, so it’d be interesting to give one of those a try one day. Thanks for the recommendation.

I can’t believe that, out of your top 11 books for 2017,I’ve only read two of them!! Shocking!!!
Hope to rectify this situation in 2018 as they others are on my TBR list.
I’m delighted you loved them enough to recommend them to your readers and I hope I’ll feel the same about them too!!
    Cheers!! 🎉📕😊
